NEMSU hosts FY 2023 DBM-SUCs & CHED 1st Quarter FDU Meeting

The FDU is aimed at directing the agencies to facilitate the implementation of programs and projects in order to realize the intended economic and social goals of the government for FY 2023.
In attendance were the Regional Offices of the Department of Budget and Management (DBM), led by RD Maria Fe D. Jagna, the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), led by RD George M. Colorado, and the Presidents of State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) in Caraga Region together with their respective Vice Presidents for Administration and Finance, Budget Officers, Planning Officers and Accountants, among other key officials.

NEMSU, as the host, has optimized its attendance, which included the Campus Directors and the committee members, along with the key officials.
Dr. Nemesio G. Loayon, NEMSU President, expressed his welcome greetings by highlighting the importance of financial management in achieving common goals and objectives.

In his message, he asserted the vital role of SUCs’ solid understanding of the financial situation and to be proactive in managing resources. With the comprehensive presentations and inputs from DBM and CHED, the meeting intends to increase the close coordination between DBM RO-XIII and its client agencies in order to ensure that the agency's budget is fully utilized and that projects are implemented in accordance with budgetary requirements, ensuring that government resources are used wisely.
