In pursuit of becoming a premier research university, various research and extension assistants of North Eastern Mindanao State University attended the Research and Extension Assistants Orientation held at the NEMSU Old Board Room on March 18, 2024.

The orientation was arranged in a hybrid setup, allowing participants from various campuses to join remotely via Zoom. This session served as a platform to familiarize the assistants with their contracts of service, study guidelines and procedures, budgetary requirements, liquidation, travel procedure and other accounting concerns, procurement process, and their specific roles and responsibilities as research and extension assistants.

During the end of the session, Dr. Erwin B. Berry, the Director for Research and Development, emphasized a message, reminding the participants of their duty to serve with excellence and professionalism, and stressing the importance of prayer in their research and extension endeavors, whether within the school premises or out in the field.

The orientation concluded with impressions from selected participants, who shared their reflections on the invaluable lessons gained during the event. These insights served as inspiration for them to redouble their efforts in their roles, aiming to contribute towards NEMSU's advancement in the fields of research and extension.
