The Faculty Development Policy, backed by BOR Resolution No. 163, series of 2023, details the processes and guidelines for faculty regarding capability development, scholarships, and faculty immersion. Department chairpersons from the university system attended the hybrid orientation, as they will be responsible for implementing these policies at the grassroots level. During the orientation, the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Suazo, discussed all the guidelines, timetables, and requirements embedded in the Faculty Development Policy. Dr. Suazo further empowered each department to maximize the FDP by identifying the strengths and weaknesses of the faculty based on program requirements and statutory standards.
Dr. Suazo also expressed gratitude during the orientation for the collaborative efforts of the Technical Working Group, which includes the deans, faculty union president, human resource management, the secretariat, and the Board of Regents, in bringing this endeavor to fruition for the enhancement of faculty development.
