The Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC) Culture and Arts Festival tossed at Vigan City on December 6-10, 2016. CARAGA Region was represented by four promising SUC’s including SDSSU. The fighting spirit of the young competitors brought honor to the region as SDSSU representatives won 2^nd Runner Up in Hip hop, 3^rd Runner Up in Extemporaneous Speaking, 4^th Runner Up in Quiz Bowl, 6^th Place in Charcoal Rendering, 6^th Place in Contemporary Dance, 8^th Place in Pagsulat ng Sanaysay, 9^th Place in Dagliang Talumpati, 10^th Place in Kundiman, 12^th Place in Instrumental. Out of 17 Regions across the country SDSSU emerged as one of the youngest Institutions in the country. The competition ended up with a surprise tour from the CARAGA athletic management which inspired the participants in the region. Congratulations to the TEAM!
