Proposed Research Agenda finalized

In cognizance of the researchers to be guided on research tracks of the University Vision, the Research office together with the expertise of Dr. Roberto N. Padua finalized the research agenda held at Sea Hoi Beach Resort, Lianga, Surigao del Sur last August 28- 29, 2017.
The two-day activity was participated by all Research Heads and Research Coordinators of the six (6) campuses of the University. Present also in the said huddle was the ITSO Manager Sir Reinar Acevedo and the SDSSU Multidisciplinary Journal EIC, Dr. Anamarie Acevedo. It started with an opening program where the OIC Director for Research and Development, Dr. Maria Lady Sol A. Suazo presented the Key Result Areas and the research themes identified by the faculty, stakeholders and students during the Research Agenda consultations conducted prior to the finalization. Dr. Roberto N. Padua, former CHED Commissioner, commented on the presentation; he suggested that research agenda will be anchored on the University Vision and strategies should be framed as its roadmap.
Presentation of outputs followed by group and ended up with the finalized research themes based on the agenda formulated that covers the four (4) focal areas namely; a.) food security, b.) poverty alleviation, c.) renewable energy and d.) interaction on natural environment, e. other disciplines representing the flagship program of the University.
Participants were steered up for the improvement of the Research and Development endeavors for the agenda finalization of the University.
