Pitching their way to HEALTHCON '23, NEMSU-TC's BSCS team achieved a breakthrough by securing a position among the elite top 5 in the recent Health Technology Ideation Pitching.
Led by Maryvelle Almirol and supported by Maria Fatima Baja, Queenie Matin-ao, and Ruby Janiola, the team presented their health technology innovation titled 'EyeConsulta' at the 6th Caraga Health R&D Convention.
Out of 14 entries, only five victors were recognized as the top 5 finalists at Caraga State University, Butuan City.
Alongside certificates, the group was awarded a cash prize of five thousand for their 'outstanding' performance in the competition. Another DCS team is now gearing up for the grander stage in Samal on November 20 to 25.
