NEMSU San Miguel Welcomes the 1st Semester of A.Y. 2023-2024
San Miguel, August 14, 2023 - The sun rose on a new academic year as the North Eastern Mindanao State University (NEMSU) San Miguel campus unfolded a grand Class Opening Program for the 1st Semester of the Academic Year 2023-2024. The NEMSU San Miguel Cultural Center buzzed with anticipation as the campus community gathered to embark on a journey of knowledge, growth, and inspiration.
The program started on the much-awaited Opening Salvo, led by the dynamic and dedicated members of the University Student Government (USG) officers. Dressed in their official regalia, these student leaders set the tone for the day, showcasing their commitment to guiding their fellow students toward a successful academic year.
Mr. Raymundo M. Itable, the esteemed Head of the Office of Student Welfare and Development (OSWD), delivered a heartfelt Welcome Message to the stage next. With warmth and enthusiasm, Mr. Itable extended his sincere welcome to the students, faculty, and staff members, emphasizing the university's dedication to fostering an environment of growth, inclusivity, and academic excellence.
Dr. Clemencia L. Sumagaysay, the Campus Director, followed with an Inspirational Message. Dr. Sumagaysay's words resonated deeply with the audience, igniting a sense of purpose and determination among the students as they embarked on their educational journey.
The Intermission Number was a delightful surprise, featuring a captivating performance by the university's Dance Club. With their artistry and synchronized moves, the dancers captivated the audience and infused the event with invigorating energy.
Dr. Erwin Berry, the Curriculum Director, then shared his invaluable insights on the academic programs and curriculum enhancements in a Message from the Curriculum Director. His message provided a glimpse into the exciting learning opportunities that awaited the students in the upcoming semester. The Presentation of Faculty and Staff acquainted the students with the dedicated individuals who would guide them through their academic pursuits. This segment acknowledged the contributions of the educators who tirelessly worked to shape the next generation's minds.
The event came to a resounding close with Hon. Enrile M. Nazi, President of the University Student Government (USG), delivering the closing remarks. Hon. Nazi's words resonated deeply, inspiring unity, collaboration, and a shared commitment to academic success within the student body.
