NEMSU President challenges newly-pronounced graduates to ace licensure examinations

NEMSU President, Nemesio G. Loayon graced the NEMSU Bislig community with his presence, accompanied with a call for the graduates to be the next top notchers in the coming licensure examinations of their respective programs.

"The main campus already produced board top notchers in the licensure examination for teachers. This time, we would challenge Bislig campus to produce top notchers for forestry and also in engineering programs," Loayon challenged the graduates.

North Eastern Mindanao State University had been awarded by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) as the Top 3 Best Engineering Programs in the Philippines. All the more challenge for the graduates to put in the effort and hustle.

Commencement speaker introduces new formula to success

As the graduates cap off their college journey, they have come in terms with various formulas along the way; Bernoulli equation, table of specifications, and the list could go on. For them to solve bigger problems in the equation of life, the commencement speaker, Lalaine May P. Ranes, Teacher III, DepEd, presents her version — the 5G formula.

The 5G formula encapsulates; Goal (1G) — the driving force, Guts (2G) — the courage amid uncertainties, Grit (3G) — the undying perseverance and passion, Gratitude (4G) — the value of looking and giving back, and God (5G) — when all else fail, God never will.

"Choose your network, be connected with the valuable 5G," Ranes stated. Ranes also shared how she first perceived the expression, "ana nalang" as somewhat a showcase of mediocrity. However, a student made her realize that the expression stems on a deeper level of acceptance. Whatever college life throws at you, you have to carry on and fight for your dreams. Ana nalang!
